À la suite de la détection par des agents du radar côtier, un navire illégal contenant 124 migrants irréguliers a été intercepté avec succès le dimanche 20 septembre 2020 à 21 h 49. par l’unité Marine Branch 1 mile au large de Turtle Rock.
Le navire en bois bleu de 38 pieds propulsé par des moteurs hors-bord de 40 jumeaux transportait 106 Haïtiens et 18 Haïtiennes. Au cours de l’opération, plusieurs migrants ont sauté par-dessus bord pour s’échapper mais ont été rapidement détenus.




Le Marine Branch M / V Sea Guardian avec l’aide du M / V Sea Enforcer a remorqué le navire illégal jusqu’au port de South Dock où les détenus ont été remis aux agents de l’immigration pour traitement et rapatriement.

Following detection by Coastal Radar Officials, an Illegal vessel containing 124 Irregular migrants was successfully intercepted on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 9:49 p.m. by the Marine Branch Unit 1 mile off Turtle Rock.

The blue 38 FT wooden vessel powered by twin 40 outboard engines carried 106 Haitian males and 18 Haitian females. During the operation, several migrants jumped overboard to escape but were quickly detained.

The Marine Branch M/V Sea Guardian with the assistance of M/V Sea Enforcer towed the illegal vessel to the South Dock Port where the detainees were handed over to Immigration Officials for processing and repatriation.
